Bail justice
An employee may be granted unpaid leave to attend a training course for appointment as a bail justice.
An employee who has been appointed as a bail justice may be granted up to 5 days paid leave per year to attend to official duties as a bail justice.
Honorary probation officer
An employee may be granted leave with pay to attend court in the capacity of an honorary probation officer or honorary youth justice worker.
Wherever possible it is expected that school based employees will arrange their absence at a time when students are not in attendance or at a time that suits the operations and needs of the school.
