PLC teams must evaluate and refine their existing teaching and learning sequences against the VTLM 2.0 and use this to inform the development of new sequences, strategies and practices.

PLCs measure the spread of student learning against the relevant curriculum and identify the specific learning outcome as the focus for their inquiry.

Victorian Professional Learning Communities initiative evaluation
In 2024, the department commissioned the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) to conduct the final evaluation of the Victorian Learning Communities initiative. Drawing on data collected between August 2022 and November 2023, the evaluation examined implementation, impact, sustainability and value for investment.
