Sun protection advice and measures

SunSmart offers resources to support schools, including:

• the SunSmart Schools Program
• free classroom resources for primary schools and secondary schools
• a sunscreen poster for schools (PDF)
• a sunscreen information factsheet (PDF)
• the Achievement Program’s SunSmart policy (Note: schools will need to register for the program to gain access to these resources).

Shade provision

SunSmart provides advice on shade provision. It includes additional resources, such as the shade guidelines and the shade comparison check, which can assist schools in determining the need for, and availability and quality of shade.

Sun protection times

The daily sun protection times let schools know when sun protection is needed each day. These are available:

• via the free SunSmart app and widget
• on the SunSmart and Bureau of Meteorology websites
• in the weather section of the newspaper
