Enterprise Bargaining

Overview

The Department of Education (the Department) is proposing to enter into a new enterprise agreement for employees in the Victorian Teaching Service (Proposed Agreement), replacing the Victorian Government Schools Agreement 2022 (Current Agreement). The Proposed Agreement has been developed with support from the Australian Education Union, the Australian Principals Federation, the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Federation, the Community and Public Sector Union and independent bargaining representatives.

The Proposed Agreement covers employees in the executive class, principal class, teacher class, paraprofessional class and education support class. It settles all claims arising from the bargaining parties' logs of claims and has a nominal expiry date of 10 August 2030.

Employees who will be covered by the Proposed Agreement are now being provided access to the Proposed Agreement and other relevant material in advance of employees being provided with an opportunity to vote to approve or not approve the Proposed Agreement.
